Fiesta Oyster Bake adds to 2019 music lineup
Classic rock act Starship featuring Mickey Thomas and Texas music star Wade Bowen are the latest big names added to the Fiesta Oyster Bake entertainment lineup.
The Oyster Bake, which runs April 12-13, started revealing acts this week on social media, beginning with Tejano stage headliners David Lee Garza y Los Musicales and Gary Hobbs on Wednesday.
Starship, known for songs such as “We Built This City” and “Sara,” will headline the Bud Light/KONO 101 and Eagle 106.7 stage on Feb. 12, with Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks tribute act Nightbird opening.

“Who I Am” singer Bowen tops the bill for the Bud Light/KJ97 stage on Feb. 13. Also set to play the country stage that day are William Michael Morgan, Jon Wolfe, Vanessa Lynn Bird and JR Herrera.
The Oyster Bake typically presents a lineup of rock, country, R&B, rap and Tejano stars old and new on five stages. Headliners last year included Lou Gramm, Mike Jones, Brett Michaels and Sean Paul.
The event traditionally takes place on the first weekend of Fiesta, but with Easter falling on April 21, this year’s Oyster Bake is scheduled for the weekend before the official start of the citywide festival, April 18, to avoid overlapping with Holy Week.
Tickets go on sale March 1 at oysterbake.com.
