Columbia Gas to replace natural gas lines

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbia Gas will spend $30 million this year to replace more than 36 miles of natural gas main lines and more than 3,900 customer service lines in Southern and Eastern Ohio, according to a news release.

The work is part of an ongoing commitment by the company to enhance customer safety with 30 major pipeline replacement projects this year, according to the release.

It is part of a 25-year, $2 billion plan to replace more than 4,000 miles of gas lines across Ohio.
