Seward celebrates ‘Princess Karis Day’ in honor of 5-year-old with leukemia

Karis Crosmer, 5, had her dreams come true Sunday in Seward, Nebraska.

The town held a parade, complete with the high school marching band, for Karis, who was diagnosed with leukemia in 2014.

Mayor Josh Eickmeier, with the wave of a magic wand, declared Sunday “Princess Karis Day.”

And “Prince Charming,” Concordia University student Brady Fitz, revealed that the girl’s ultimate wish would be granted: She and her family are going to Walt Disney World in November.
