LONDON (AP) — Nick Kyrgios has retired from his first-round match at Wimbledon after losing the first two sets. The 20th-seeded Australian was trailing Pierre-Hugues Herbert of France 6-3, 6-4 when he called for a trainer to work on his left hip. He then decided to stop the match. Kyrgios also retired with an injury from his first-round match at Queen’s, a Wimbledon warm-up tournament.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Buffalo, New York’s hockey marathoners have overcome injuries, illness, fatigue and countless blisters to unofficially set the record for the longest continuous game. It began at 9 p.m. on June 22, when 40 rec-league players — many of them in their 40s — embarked on a round-the-clock bid to break the record and raise $1 million for Buffalo’s Roswell Park Cancer Institute. The record time of 10 days, 10 hours, 3 minutes and 21 seconds was announced 7 a.m. today.
