Man faces assault and battery charges after turning himself in to Florence police
FLORENCE, S.C. – A man faces two outstanding charges after turning himself in to the Florence Police Department.
Wesley Albert Weaver turned himself in Saturday and was charged twice with assault and battery in the second degree.
One charge stems from an allegation that Weaver grabbed a woman’s groin on Dec. 26 in the Magnolia Mall parking lot in Florence.
The second charge is for an incident on Tuesday where Weaver allegedly slapped a woman on the buttocks in the Walmart on Beltline Drive in Florence.
Weaver was transported to the Florence County Detention Center.
