SANDY, Utah (AP) — Real Salt Lake moved within a point of the Major League Soccer Western Conference lead by winning 3-1 at home against Los Angeles on Saturday.

Olmes Garcia scored twice in the final 10 minutes to secure victory for RSL.

Khari Stephenson scored late in the first half for the hosts before Landon Donovan equalized before halftime for the Galaxy.

Garcia headed home a cross from Javier Morales in the 84th minute to put RSL ahead, and then the two hooked up again two minutes into stoppage time. Morales sent a through ball into the center of the box. Garcia latched onto the pass and buried it inside the left post to assure RSL of the three points.

SEATTLE SOUNDERS 3, VANCOUVER WHITECAPS 2

Lamar Neagle ran onto a pass from Obafemi Martins and scored in the 81st minute, lifting Seattle over Vancouver.

he Sounders took a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute through an Andy Rose goal before Camilo Sanvezzo scored a pair of first-half goals for the Whitecaps.

Servando Carrasco converted a penalty in the 70th minute to bring the home team level before Neagle netted his fifth of the season to win it.

CHICAGO FIRE 2, PORTLAND TIMBERS 2

Chicago substitute Daniel Paladini scored on a 26-yard free kick in the 82nd minute to salvage a point for the Fire against Portland.

Chicago came back from 2-0 down. In the 68th minute, Mike Magee knocked the ball into an empty net.

Portland's goals came from Diego Valeri in the 34th minute and Ben Zemanski in the 58th. The Timbers are unbeaten in 12 games dating back to early March.

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION 0, D.C. UNITED 0

New England was held to a draw by lowly D.C. United, which notched only its sixth point in 14 games.

The Revolution is unbeaten through its past five matches and has gone 395 minutes without conceding a goal.

D.C. United failed to score for the third straight game and is winless in its past 12.
