State police investigating fatal pedestrian accident on Expressway
State police say all four northbound lanes of the Southeast Expressway have reopened for the morning commute after a fatal pedestrian strike snarled city-bound traffic for more than two hours.
The individual was killed shortly after 5:30 a.m. between the Columbia Road and Southampton Street exits.
The body came to rest beside a guard rail in front of several cars that were damaged in what appeared to be a chain collision.
Though traffic is moving again, the state Department of Transportation is warning commuters to expect delays.
