Stolen property recovered at Salina residence
Two stolen mopeds and a stolen wood burning stove were recovered shortly before noon Tuesday from Randall Anderson, 60, of Salina, at 817 N. 13th, according to Undersheriff Roger Soldan.
Soldan said his office received information that the wooden burning stove, which was stolen in February from 5100 N. Hohneck, was at Anderson’s residence.
Deputies obtained a search warrant and upon searching Anderson’s residence found the mopeds, nearly a gram of marijuana, 9.5 grams of methamphetamine, a 12-gauge shotgun and a rifle with the serial numbers scratched off.
Because of Anderson’s prior criminal history, the possession of the firearms is considered a felony, according to Soldan.
Anderson faces charges of criminal trespass, burglary, theft, defacing a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, distribution and possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and no drug tax stamp, Soldan said.
