LOCAL COLLEGE: Falcons Drop First Matchup

Pasco-Hernando State College scored five runs in the fourth inning to rally for an 11-10 win over Lackawanna College in the first round of the NJCAA Division II World Series on Saturday in Enid, Oklahoma.

The Falcons play an elimination game tonight at 9.

The Bobcats scored three runs in the first inning but Lackawanna answered with a run in the second and then scored six runs in the third. Zac Granger had a two-run single in the third for Lackawanna and Ian Diaz hit a two-run triple as Lackawanna took a 7-3 lead.

Pasco-Hernando regained the lead with five runs in the fourth innings and added two more in the fifth. Diaz finished with three RBIs for Lackawanna and Granger had two hits, a run and two RBIs.
