OITA, Japan (AP) — Striker Milivoje Novakovic and Takuya Aoki scored as Omiya Ardija beat winless Oita Trinita 2-0 to extend its unbeaten run to 20 games and remain in first place in the J-League on Friday.

Novakovic was on target from the top of the area in the 17th minute, and Aoki doubled the lead two minutes after the break as Omiya won its sixth straight game.

Omiya, which last lost on Aug. 25, was three points ahead of Yokohama Marinos, which finished 1-1 against Kashima Antlers after Fabio equalized in stoppage time.

Omiya will be looking to extend its record run against defending champion Sanfrecce Hiroshima on Monday. Kashima held the previous record of 17 games without defeat.

Also, Hugo scored both goals as Ventforet Kofu beat Jubilo 2-1, while Kengo Kawamata and Sho Naruoka scored to lead Albirex Niigata to a 2-1 win over Shimizu S-Pulse.

Elsewhere, Yoichiro Kakitani scored a pair of goals and Hotaru Yamaguchi added another as Cerezo Osaka beat Shonan Bellmare 3-0.
