RAP IMPOSTORS ACCUSED OF SCAMMING HOTELS, STUDIOS

ATLANTA (AP) - Prosecutors say a group of identity thieves claiming they worked for Roc Nation and represented Wu-Tang Clan bilked hotels and studios out of $100,000. A criminal complaint filed this week states the group would arrive in a rented Rolls Royce Phantom and reserve a block of rooms, then skip out on the bill. The complaint says they pulled the scam with exclusive hotels, two Atlanta recording studios and the place where they had rented the Rolls. Prosecutors say the scam unraveled at hotel in Augusta, Georgia, when the hotel sales director contacted Roc Nation and was told the entertainment firm was not associated with the men booking rooms. Walker Washington and Aaron Barnes-Burpo are charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.

LINDSEY STIRLING STILL LOVES “ZELDA”

NEW YORK (AP) - Elf ears made the difference in Lindsey Stirling’s career. Stirling says most people first heard of her because of her video of her wearing elf ears in the woods playing the theme from “The Legend of Zelda” on her violin. She did it because a new “Zelda” game was coming out and she felt nostalgic for playing “Zelda” as a kid. She says the first time she went on tour, the moment the crowd went crazy was when she played “Zelda.” Stirling says to this day, she’s grateful for the following she has from gaming culture.
