Linda McMahon to head SBA
President-Elect Donald Trump on Wednesday appointed Connecticut’s Linda McMahon, the co-founder of the World Wrestling Entertainment conglomerate, to run the Small Business Administration.
“I am honored and humbled to be appointed by President-Elect Trump to serve as head of the U.S. Small Business Administration,” McMahon said late Wednesday after reports surfaced that she was being tapped to head the agency.
“As an entrepreneur myself, I have shared the experiences of our nation’s small business owners and will do my best to advocate on their behalf,” McMahon said.
Along with her husband, Vince, McMahon founded the WWE, a mutli-billion business and brand recognizable around the world. The McMahon’s live in Greenwich and she twice lost high profile races for a U.S. Senate seat representing Connecticut.
