Norfolk Catholic confirms coaching changes

April 5, 2018

High school principal Jeff Bellar confirmed Wednesday morning that Norfolk Catholic will not retain boys basketball coach Shane Anderson and volleyball coach Travis Fisher in those roles next year.

Anderson completed his 15th year and finished with a career record of 227-142. The Knights finished 26-2 and won the Class C1 state championship in 2010-11. But the team went 23-49 in the last three seasons, including 9-15 last year.

In five seasons, Fisher’s volleyball programs finished 50-97, including 7-22 last season. He was an assistant to previous coach Gail Borgmann for two seasons.

No replacements have been made for either program.
