Chamber Music Society concert to feature ‘Trio’
“Rochester Trio,” the final concert of the Rochester Chamber Music Society season, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Christ United Methodist Church.
The “trio” consists of Horacio Nuguid on piano, David Townsend on clarinet, and Stephen Pelky on cello.
The program features Carl Maria von Weber’s Grand Duo Concertant for Clarinet and Piano; Claude Debussy’s Sonata for Cello and Piano, and Johannes Brahms’ Trio in A minor.
Nuguid is the founder of and artistic director of the Rochester Chamber Music Society. Townsend, a founding member, performs frequently on chamber society programs. He has been principal clarinetist with the Rochester Symphony Orchestra for 32 years. Pelkey, former artistic director of Southeastern Minnesota Youth Orchestras, is also a member of the Rochester Symphony.
