Rapid7: 3Q Earnings Snapshot
BOSTON (AP) _ Rapid7 Inc. (RPD) on Tuesday reported a loss of $14.4 million in its third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Boston-based company said it had a loss of 29 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and amortization costs, came to 1 cent per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 3 cents per share.
The cybersecurity company posted revenue of $83.2 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $80.1 million.
For the current quarter ending in December, Rapid7 said it expects revenue in the range of $87.4 million to $89 million.
The company expects full-year earnings in the range of 3 cents to 5 cents per share, with revenue ranging from $322.7 million to $324.3 million.
Rapid7 shares have risen 63% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 44% in the last 12 months.
