OMAHA -- Caleb Wallman gave up just one run in six innings of work against Omaha Skutt Monday night, but it wasn’t enough.

Wesely pitched seven innings against the Orangemen, giving up no hits while striking out five and walking one.

Wallman pitched all six innings for Beatrice and gave up one earned run on five hits while striking out five and walking two. He came up on the short end of the pitchers duel, though.

Skutt’s lone run came in the second inning. They led the inning off with a double followed by a walk. A ground out put runners at second and third with one out. A hit batsman loaded the bases and a sacrifice fly brought in the run.

Wallman would be able to induce a ground out to end the inning, keeping the score at 1-0.
