Challenge of Champions Tour bull riding at fairgrounds Saturday

The Coastal Farm & Ranch Challenge of Champions Tour for bull riders will make its second of three appearances this year in Roseburg on Saturday during the final day of the Douglas County Fair.

The event will begin at 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, which is included with fair admission. Kids 12-and-under are free.

Roseburg will be the 11th stop of this year’s tour. Jason Mattox, who’s in charge of the tour, expects between 25-30 bull riders to compete. It will be televised on The Cowboy Channel on Aug. 18.

The performance will also include mutton bustin’ and junior bull riding.

The tour will begin the weekend Friday in Sandpoint, Idaho, with a 7:30 p.m. performance. Roseburg’s last tour event is scheduled for Sept. 8. The top 25 bull riders over the regular season will advance to the finals, set for Jan. 5, 2019, at the Jackson County Expo in Central Point.
