PROCTOR, Vt. (AP) — Vermont State Police have positively identified the woman whose body was found in a car in the town of Proctor.

On Thursday police said the deceased woman has been identified as 44-year-old Alicia Harrington of Rutland.

Police say an autopsy has been completed and they are treating Harrington’s death as suspicious, but the cause and manner of death remain pending.

While Harrington’s death is considered suspicious, police say they believe her death was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community.

Harrington’s body was found Wednesday in Proctor after she had been reported missing, but police did not confirm her identity until after the autopsy had been completed.
