Collision on I-95 in Stratford caused delays; quickly cleared
STRATFORD — What appeared to be a two-car collision was quickly cleared from Interstate 95 on Friday, but not before causing delays in the area.
More than an hour after the crash, which was initially reported around 2:30 p.m., Sigalert showed residual delays on its website in the area of the crash, which happened near exit 30 on I-95 south.
There were no serious injuries, state police said. Reports indicated there was no entrapment, but that there were delays in the area.
The right lane in the area of exit 30 was closed as crews worked to clear the scene. Delays built up in the area quickly, with top speeds prior to exit 30 reaching around 18 mph at one point.
In less than an hour, crews had cleared the site of the crash.
