Security adviser John Bolton to speak at USCG commencement
National Security Affairs Adviser John Bolton will deliver the keynote address during graduation ceremonies at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London on May 22.
The 138th commencement will begin at 11 a.m. on Cadet Memorial Field.
This event is not open to the public.
Vice President Mike Pence served as the Academy’s Commencement speaker last year.
Inclement weather plans call for the graduation to be held in Leamy Hall Auditorium, where seating will be limited.
In 2017, President Donald Trump gave the keynote address at the academy.
Trump’s decision to name Bolton as his new national security adviser was made despite his distaste for Bolton’s mustache, according to multiple reports.
