VENICE, Italy (AP) _ The world’s largest classic oil painting, ″Il Paradiso″ by the school of Jacopo Tintoretto, was returned to the Doges Palace Saturday after three years of restoration.

The 16th-century masterpiece, 82 feet long and 26 feet wide, was rehung in the palace’s Grand Council Room.

International grants to the ″Save Venice Foundation″ totaling about $100,000 paid for repair of the oil painting, which had become severely faded.
