The Chainsmokers play Webster Bank Arena

April 14, 2017

The Chainsmokers light up Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport this week with a Thursday night concert, April 20.

Drew Taggart and Alex Pall kicked off their 40-city “Memories: Do Not Open” arena tour earlier this month, and are celebrating the release of their first full-length album.

The popular dance-pop duo’s new single, “Paris,” debuted in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100, and features vocals by Taggart. Its beachy lyric video was shot on location at Casa Malca in Tulum, Mexico. The video features Instagram model Alexis Ren, and has garnered more than 173 million views.

“Paris” follows the smash hit, “Closer,” from 2016. That tune, featuring singer Halsey, spent 12 weeks at the top spot and broke records by being the only song from Billboard’s Hot 100 to spend 32 weeks on the chart.

Taggart, 27, and Pall, 31, got their start in New York City. This summer they head to Malta, south of Italy in the Mediterranean Sea, where they will headline at MTV’s annual open-air, summer music festival, “Isle of MTV Malta.”

Special guests at Thursday’s concert will be singer-songwriters Kiiara and Emily Warren.
