Wake Forest at Boston College

September 9, 2017 GMT

1 p.m. — Alumni Stadium, Chestnut Hill

TV: ACC Network Extra — Radio: WEEI (850 AM)

The line: Pick (O/U 45)

THREE THINGS TO WATCH

1. Wake Forest’s secondary is the strength of the Demon Deacons defense and their capable safeties and cornerbacks can run with BC’s outside threats. BC quarterback Anthony Brown can initially attack Wake’s secondary with short and intermediate passes to the backs and tight ends to set up the deep ball.

2. BC tailbacks Jon Hilliman and A.J. Dillon must do a better job running between the tackles than they did in the season opener at Northern Illinois. Wide receivers Thadd Smith, Jeff Smith and Ben Glines accounted for 84 of BC’s 207 rushing yards on jet sweeps.

3. The Eagles offensive line will need to a better job keeping the Deacons’ front seven out of the backfield than it did at NIU. The Huskies registered an unacceptable 12 tackles for a loss for minus-39 yards that included two sacks.
