MEXICO CITY (AP) — Chilean striker Hector Mancilla scored the lone goal in Morelia's 1-0 win over Pumas on Sunday to give the team the lead in Mexico's first division standings after the 10th round.

Defending champion America slipped down to second — a point behind Morelia — after losing its first game of the season 2-1 to Santos Laguna on Friday. Leon moved to third place, level on points with America — following a 1-0 win against Veracruz on Saturday.

In other weekend results, Tigres defeated Cruz Azul 1-0, Monterrey won 1-0 against Pachuca, Chiapas overcame Atlas 3-0, Puebla drew 1-1 with Toluca, Queretaro got a 1-0 victory over Atlante and Chivas tied 2-2 against Tijuana.

Mancilla latched onto a through-pass and calmly slotted the ball past 'keeper Alejandro Palacios in the 65th minute against a struggling Pumas.

Santos Laguna's completed its comeback as Mauro Cejas curled a right-foot shot from outside the penalty area into the corner of the net after America took the lead when Raul Jimenez cut inside from the wing and finished in the 14th and Oribe Peralta scored from close range in the 50th to bring the scores level.--
