Mae Rose Pusch

Mae Rose K. Pusch, 93, of Woodland passed away Saturday, Sept. 17, at Clearview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Juneau.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Woodland at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Daniel Babinec officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the church in Woodland. Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery in Woodland.

Mae Rose was born May 17, 1923, to Leslie and Hilda (Zwieg) Wheeler. She was a 1941 graduate of Mayville High School. Mae Rose was united in marriage to Howard Pusch on May 31, 1947, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Mayville. She had worked as a postal employee. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Woodland and was active in the ladies aid. Mae Rose was also a member of the Mayville Senior Center. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards, bowling and golf. She also liked to travel. Family was very important to Mae Rose as well, and she enjoyed the time spent with them and especially going to her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Mae Rose was survived by her daughters, Karen (Ronald) Dahm of Horicon and June (Roger) Lindloff of Praire du Sac; her grandchildren, Brenda (Paul Lehman) Dahm of Fond du Lac, Gina (Neil) Schoenherr of Columbus, Carla (Glenn) Koerner of Burnett, and Erica (Robert Berger) Fairbrother of Slinger; her four great grandchildren, Dustin, Holly, Jack and John; two step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard; sister- and brother-in-law, Ralph (Joyce) Baertschy; and her nephew, Karl.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Woodland or the charity of one’s choice.

Special thanks to the doctor’s and staff of Clearview in Juneau for all of the wonderful care and support shown to Mae Rose.
