Woman Dies in After Being Struck by Truck in Lowell
LOWELL -- A woman died after she was struck by a pickup truck at Murkland Elementary School in the city’s Acre neighborhood Monday morning.
Police and fire officials responded to the scene, where a white sheet was draped over a truck from the commercial food and equipment company Valley Service, Inc.
A witness, Jennifer Flores, who lives nearby at Garin Terrace, said she was outside with her children when she saw the driver back up and pull forward, dragging the woman, who she believed to be about 65 years old. She has not yet been identified by police.
