Alliant Energy promotes John Larsen to president
John Larsen will become president of Alliant Energy Corp., of Madison, on Jan. 1.
Larsen, 54, has been Alliant’s senior vice president since 2014 and president of Alliant’s Wisconsin utility subsidiary, Wisconsin Power & Light Co., since 2010. He joined Alliant in 1987.
Larsen will succeed Patricia Kampling as president of Alliant; Kampling, 58, will continue to lead the company as CEO and chairwoman.
“John makes a difference with his impactful leadership and clear vision for the future,” Kampling said.
Larsen will be paid a base salary of $550,000 a year, according to a document filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Alliant provides electricity to 960,000 electric customers and 410,000 natural gas customers in Wisconsin and Iowa.
