San Antonio Rampage have winning streak snapped by Texas Stars

The San Antonio Rampage had their three-match winning streak snapped with a 5-2 loss to the Texas Stars on Friday at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.

The Rampage drop to 12-16-1, while the Stars are 15-10-3.

Samuel Blais and Conner Bleackley scored in the opening period to keep San Antonio even at 2-2 at the first intermission. Texas scored about midway through each of the second and third periods before adding an empty-net goal in the final 30 seconds.

Rampage goalie Ville Husso stopped 25 of 29 shots.

The Stars and Rampage play a rematch at 7 p.m. Saturday at the AT&T Center. Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with the Stanley Cup.
