Motorcyclist charged in road-rage confrontation
MILTON, Del. (AP) — A motorcyclist is facing multiple charges after Delaware State Police say he flashed a handgun in a road-rage confrontation with a group of teenagers.
Thirty-year-old Russell Zern of Clayton is facing charges including aggravated menacing, endangering the welfare of children and possessing a firearm during a felony.
Delaware State Police say three 17-year-olds were traveling in a car on State Route 1 near Milton late Wednesday afternoon when they were nearly cut off by Zern.
Police say Zern’s motorcycle and the car then stopped at a red light and Zern yelled at the teens, spit on their car and ripped off its gas cap.
Zern turned himself in to police on Thursday. He was arraigned and released on bond.
