A portion of Mike Belusko’s answer was inadvertently omitted from Wednesday’s Wilkes-Barre City Council preview. In response to what he would do if he disagrees with the mayor’s proposed budget, Belusko, an incumbent Democratic candidate from District A, said: “Any city budget given to me with an increase in taxes or fees is addressed with the city administration for explanation. I would then recommend changes by finding new revenue sources to eliminate the need for such an increase, such as attempting to collect unpaid property taxes, sewer maintenance fees, recycling fees, quality of life fines, as well as parking tickets that place undue stress on city taxpayers that pay the obligation on time.”
