Local dance studios present annual ‘Christmas with a Cause’
HUNTINGTON — Making Christmas merry and bright starts with unity. Dance studios are collaborating in making the holiday season a reason for in celebrating for a cause. Six studios are coming together for one time only annual performance.
Nancy’s “Christmas with a Cause” is in preparation to produce their 55th year benefit show. The show is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 9 with a showtime starting at 2 p.m. Audiences can purchase open seats for $15 with the show set to be held at Jean C Stephens Auditorium, 2nd floor of Huntington’s City Hall. Advanced tickets can also be purchased at the local dance studios participating in the event.
This year joining Nancy’s School of Dance is Elite Performance Academy, Bridget’s Dance Academy, The Art Center School of Dance, Arts on 4th, and Ultimate Dance Legacy. Proceeds from the show will be going to Hospice of Huntington. Previous benefits along with other shows have raised over $100,000.00 for nonprofit organizations in the Tri-State area.
The show has always been a welcome preview in kicking off the holiday season as songs and dances from several Christmas Classics are included. For this event, pecial guest Ryan Hardiman will perform his rendition of “The Christmas Song”.
The public is invited to enjoy holiday favorites such as Winter Wonderland, an excerpt from the Nutcracker, Jingle Bells, Heaven Everywhere, Sleigh Ride and many more.
