VIENNA (AP) — Henry Sugut led a Kenyan sweep of the podium at the Vienna City Marathon Sunday to win the event for a third time in four years.

Sugut, who won in 2010 and '12, beat Solomon Kiptoo in the final two miles to finish in an unofficial time of 2 hours, 8 minutes and 18 seconds.

Kiptoo, competing in only his second marathon, trailed Sugut by 16 seconds, and Geoffrey Ndungu was another 8 seconds back in third.

Flomena Cheyech of Kenya took the women's race in 2 hours, 24 minutes, 32 seconds to improve her personal best by almost 10 minutes.

Haile Gebrselassie won a half-marathon exhibition race for a third straight year. The Ethopian great covered the 13.1-mile distance in 1 hour, 1 minute, 14 seconds.
