1961 - Red Foley was acquitted of federal income tax evasion charges in a trial that ended with a hung jury. His highly successful Country TV show Ozark Jubilee was canceled partly because of the charges

1972 - Jerry Lee Lewis was at #1 on the Billboard Country Singles chart with “Chantilly Lace”

1992 - A 13-mile stretch of Mississippi Highway 23 was renamed in honor Tammy Wynette

1994 - Lari White married Chuck Cannon, a co-writer of John Michael Montgomery’s hit “I Love the Way You Love Me”

1996 - Bryan White met actress Erika Page for the first time at a benefit concert in Los Angeles. They began dating in 1997 and married in 2000
