Bucks: Top pick D.J. Wilson scores 11 as Milwaukee drops Summer League opener

D.J. Wilson scored 11 points in his professional debut but the Milwaukee Bucks fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers 82-53 in their Las Vegas Summer League opener on Friday.

Wilson, the Bucks’ first-round draft choice last month, made 4 of 13 field goals and had five rebounds in 23 minutes.

Former University of Wisconsin guard Bronson Koenig scored two points on 1-of-6 shooting. He missed all five of his 3-point attempts.

Third-year guard Rashad Vaughn led Milwaukee with 12 points. Gary Payton II added 10.

The Bucks will face Brooklyn on Sunday.
