Havre man dies in crash while police pursue stolen car
HAVRE, Mont. (AP) — A 26-year-old Havre man died and two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that happened as police pursued a car that had been reported stolen.
The Montana Highway Patrol says Havre police were pursuing a Hyundai Sonata just after 4 a.m. Sunday when it collided with another car in Havre.
The driver of the Sonata died in the crash. His passenger and the driver of the other car were taken to the hospital in Havre.
Hill County Sheriff Jamie Ross said he would release the victim’s name after his family is notified.
