Police: Cedar Rapids shooting victim dies at hospital
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) — Police say a man shot overnight in a Cedar Rapids home has died.
Cedar Rapids police say in a news release that officers were called to the home around 5:45 a.m. Saturday for a report of a shooting. Arriving officers found 31-year-old Wayne Trabrai Jones in the house suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Jones was rushed to a hospital, where he died about an hour later.
An autopsy has been ordered.
Police believe Jones was targeted in the shooting. No arrests have been announced, and police are asking anyone with information to contact the department or Crime Stoppers.
