Jets PR Director Ramos Retiring
NEW YORK (AP) _ Frank Ramos, the Jets’ longtime public relations director and last link to the 1969 Super Bowl championship, is retiring March 1.
He spent 39 years with the Jets, who are restructuring their public relations department.
Ramos worked with seven owners, seven presidents, five general managers, 11 full-time head coaches and two interim head coaches. He never missed a game, working 486 regular season games, 14 postseason games and 181 preseason games, a total of 681 games.
Ramos joined the Jets in 1963 after working in Army’s sports information department.
