Husker men’s basketball knocks off Texas-San Antonio
James Palmer Jr. had a career-high 25 points with seven rebounds to lead five players in double figures and Nebraska used a late 9-0 run to put away the University of Texas-San Antonio 104-94 last night.
The Huskers scored more than 100 points for the first time since beating North Carolina A&T 107-57 in 2005. The Roadrunners tied the score at 70 on Nick Allen’s dunk with 11:27 remaining, before the Huskers pulled away. Anton Gill scored 21 for the Big Red in the win. Nebraska, who led 49-42 at halftime, improves to 8-5 overall while Texas-San Antonio falls to 7-6.
