Finished 10th in WVC (17:55) and 195th in state’s Class 2A race (19:40). Bobby Earley Hazleton Area, Senior Made up for near-miss earlier in career by qualifying for first Class 3A state meet as a senior. Took 152nd (18:01) in final career race, after placing seventh (18:08.6) in D2 and 13th (18:05) in WVC. Chris Hine Holy Redeemer, Sophomore Youngest member of Royals’ states contingent took 74th in the Class 2A race (18:12). Scored for team in its District 2 team title (sixth, 17:49.9) and finished sixth in the WVC meet (17:39). Zach Keiner Hazleton Area, Sophomore Keiner was a top-five runner at the WVC championships (fifth, 17:37) and kept up the pace to take eighth in D2 Class 3A (18:10.2) and qualify for states. Finished 148th in PIAA (18:01) at Hershey. Chandler Longstreth Lake-Lehman, Sophomore Consistency at leagues (11th, 18:03) and districts (14th, 18:08.8) brought a Black Knights boy back to Class 2A state meet for first time since 2015. Had 135th-best time at states (18:45). Nick Pikul Holy Redeemer, Junior Second-fastest junior in D2 Class 2A meet (10th, 17:59.7) gave the champion Royals five top-10 finishers. Had a 173rd-place run at states (19:10) and also took 12th at leagues (18:04). Joey Rowley Hanover Area, Junior Hawkeyes’ first boys state qualifier since 2008 made it to states at Hershey with a 15th-place run at Class 2A districts (18:16.9). Finished 156th at PIAA meet (19:00) and 14th at WVC meet (18:22). Peter Sayre Tunkhannock, Senior Ended his Tigers career 106th in Class 2A state meet (18:27). Made it to Hershey by taking 11th in the district (18:01.6), a week after running a sub-18 for ninth in the WVC (17:54). George Strish Holy Redeemer, Senior Two-time CV all-star was key contributor for Royals in D2 Class 2A title by taking fifth (17:47.4). Ran similar time (17:50) for eighth in WVC and scored for Royals at states in 79th (18:14). Lukas Volpetti Holy Redeemer, Senior Two-time all-star was second-fastest Royal throughout postseason. Took third at leagues (17:30), fourth in a D2 Class 2A team title (17:30.3) and 58th as Royals placed fifth at states (18:03). Bryce Zapusek Holy Redeemer, Senior Ended Redeemer career on state medal stand, 24th in Class 2A (17:27), and took second to only Runner of the Year Mitchell Rome in D2 (17:29.6) and WVC (17:12) races. Led Royals to D2 title and fifth in PIAA.
