Rural Pilger man arrested after police pursuit
PILGER - A pursuit on Highway 15 and country roads north of Pilger resulted in an arrest.
According to Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger early Thursday morning officers attempted to have contact with a southbound pickup driven by 29-year-old Michael Temme of Pilger.
The pickup fled at high speeds and after several miles turned onto a county road, entered a farm field and continued his efforts to flee.
Eventually his pickup became disabled after striking an embankment and he was taken into custody.
Temme was jailed on charges of Willful Reckless Driving, Operating a motor Vehicle to Avoid Arrest, Driving While Intoxicated, and Resisting Arrest.
