GLTHS Craft Fair Raises Money for Scholarships, Sports, Gryphon Market
TYNGSBORO -- Greater Lowell Technical High School recently hosted its fifth annual Holiday Craft Fair to benefit the school’s scholarship funds, athletic programs and newly opened Gryphon Market.
The market is a project and partnership between the school and the Merrimack Valley Food Bank that supports Greater Lowell Tech students and families in need.
The fair affords Greater Lowell Tech students and parents an opportunity to work in partnership with more than 50 community craft vendors selling their unique and handmade items. Proceeds are used to support the school’s academic and athletic programming and community-service initiatives.
Folks at the fair kicked off their holiday shopping, finding that perfect gift, and many even found an early holiday something for themselves. Many shoppers brought along a nonperishable food item for the Gryphon Market for a discounted admission.
To continue the holiday festivities, on Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Greater Lowell Tech Culinary and Hospitality students will prepare and serve a traditional Thanksgiving feast in the newly renovated Artisan Restaurant. For reservations, call 978-441- 4838.
