NORTH ADAMS, Mass. (AP) — Police are looking for a car that belongs to a North Adams woman who was found dead in her home.

Authorities say they are treating the death of 84-year-old Ellen DePaoli as a homicide. She was found dead at her Walker Street house at around 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say a blue 2005 Ford Taurus with Massachusetts registration plates 88ZA27 that was registered to DePaoli is missing from her residence. They are asking anyone who sees the vehicle to contact them.

An autopsy to determine the cause of her death is scheduled for Thursday.

Mayor Richard Alcombright said there was no threat to the community.
