James John Wulffe, 63, of Watseka, passed away on Friday (Dec. 15, 2017) at Watseka Rehab and Health Care Center in Watseka.
He was born on July 13, 1954, in Kankakee, the son of Virgil and Kalie Stiglmaier Wulffe. He was preceded in death by his mother and a nephew, Brandon Schoon.
James will be missed by his dad, of Clifton; a brother, Bill (Lynn) Wulffe, of Chebanse; a sister, Chris (Steve) Schoon, of Chadwick; two nieces, Andrea (Jesus) Marquez, of Clifton, and Kendra (Jacob Williams) Schoon, of St. Anne; and a great-nephew and great-niece, Antonio and Selena Marquez, of Clifton.
He was a longtime resident of the Paul Roberts Friendship Home and later the CILA homes of Watseka. He also was a member of the ARC of Iroquois County and St. Edmund Catholic Church in Watseka.
James was born with various physical and mental handicaps but that didn’t stop him from being a happy and easygoing person. He loved music (especially the Beach Boys), the Cubs and “Da” Bears.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday until the 10:30 a.m. memorial service at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. The Rev. Christine Schoon will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Clifton.
