Brothers face March murder trial in slaying of Gerard Grandzol a year ago
The two brothers charged with first-degree murder and related offenses in last year’s shooting death of Gerard Grandzol, a Spring Garden activist and father who was shot in front of his 2-year-old daughter, are to stand trial March 4.
Assistant District Attorney Joanne Pescatore said after a brief status hearing in court Thursday morning that defense attorneys had rejected plea offers from the District Attorney’s Office for Marvin Roberts, now 17, of Tioga, and Maurice Roberts, now 21, of Frankford. She declined to disclose the terms of the offers.
