NY DOT to hold open house on I-81 viaduct project Oct. 6
The New York State Department of Transportation will hold a meeting next week to provide an update on the Interstate 81 viaduct project.
The open house will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6 at the OnCenter, 800 S. State St., Syracuse.
According to a news release, state DOT officials will provide status updates on the I-81 alternatives under consideration. The information will include travel times to certain destinations using the proposed alternatives.
Mark Frechette, the project’s director, will provide an overview at 6 p.m. Project team members will be on hand to answer questions.
The meeting will be held in advance of the release of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement. That EIS is expected to be released in early 2017.
