Police: 83-year-old pedestrian struck and killed by vehicle
WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) — Police say an 83-year-old pedestrian has been struck and killed by a vehicle in Massachusetts.
West Springfield Police Sgt. Michael Reed tells WWLP-TV that the man was struck at about 8:45 a.m. Saturday and died from his injuries.
His name was not released.
The station says a maroon PT Cruiser with a smashed windshield and a dent on the hood of the car was at the scene.
Reed said the driver of the car is cooperating with police.
The crash remains under investigation and it’s unclear if snowy weather played a factor.
