Few details known in Gering shooting
Authorities are investigating a shooting in Gering that resulted in a 24-year-old Gering man being hospitalized.
Law enforcement and emergency medical responders were called at about 4:50 a.m. to a residence in the 1900 block of Third Street in Gering.
A 24-year-old man was transported to Regional West Medical Center, suffering a gunshot wound to the upper abdomen, according to scanner traffic.
Gering Police Sgt. Travis Enlow told the Star-Herald that suspects have not been identified. Gering Police served search warrants at the home Friday, searching the home and for vehicles at the scene and speaking to witnesses.
However, as of late Friday afternoon, Capt. Jason Rogers said additional details about the investigation were not available.
Gering and Scottsbluff Police Departments and Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.
The home where the shooting occurred is located between the Third and Fourth Streets along T Street.
