Police investigating weekend shooting of teen in Everett
EVERETT, Mass. (AP) — Police say a 19-year-old man was critically injured over the weekend when he was shot by an unknown assailant along a bike path in suburban Boston.
Meghan Kelly, a spokeswoman for the Middlesex District Attorney, says the victim was found suffering from gunshot wounds Sunday morning on the Northern Strand Community Trail in Everett.
Police say officers discovered the man, who wasn’t identified, beneath the Tileson Street overpass around midnight. He was transported to an area hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Neighbors who live nearby told police that they didn’t see or hear anything.
