City of Aiken to hold public health and entertainment seminars this summer
The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department will offer a lunchtime seminar series from now until late June, with the goal of promoting health, wellness and communal activities in Aiken.
Called the Lunch Bunch Entertainment and Seminar Series, the program is designed for the community.
“The purpose of the event is to offer members of the community an entertaining and informational lunch time event,” said Recreation Program Coordinator Stephanie Safford. “Citizens will be able to enjoy their lunch while engaging in an informational topic seminar or enjoying entertainment from local area bands and artists.”
The series will be held on select Wednesdays and Fridays at the Lessie B. Price Aiken Senior and Youth Center, 841 Edgefield Ave. N.W.
The seminars will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public. Some of the seminars will require prior registration.
Those attending should bring their own lunch.
