Jersey Mike’s donating 100 percent of its sales on ‘Day of Giving’
SCOTT DEPOT — Jersey Mike’s Subs in Liberty Square Shopping Center has been collecting donations all month for the Tri-County YMCA in Scott Depot - but the big day is yet to come.
That big day is Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” on Wednesday, March 28, when the restaurant will give 100 percent of the day’s sales — not just profit — to Tri-County YMCA.
The Teays Valley location of Jersey Mike’s recently opened and is participating in the program for the first time.
“I would like to extend a personal invitation to everyone to visit the restaurant throughout this month and especially on the ‘Day of Giving’ when 100 percent of sales, every penny, will help support the local YMCA,” Mike Baldwin, owner of the Jersey Mike’s Putnam County location, said in a news release.
On any day through the end of March, customers can also make a donation to the Tri-County YMCA at Jersey Mike’s.
Every day, the Tri-County YMCA promotes fun, active play and educational activities to keep kids moving and learning, in order to maintain healthy habits and academic skills to achieve goals and reach their full potential.
“A child’s development is always at the top of the mind for the YMCA for kids to stay healthy and achieving every day and we are very happy that Jersey Mike’s chose us to this fundraising event, it will be a tremendous help,” Cathy Stark, Tri-County YMCA’s executive director, said in the news release.
